CAPPADOCIA, Caesarea-Eusebia. Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Tridrachm (28mm, 8.16 g, 12h). Dated RY 3 (AD 223/4). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Mt. Argaeus; ЄT Γ (date) in exergue. Ganschow, Münzen 855a; RPC VII.2 Online 67869; cf. Sydenham, Caesarea Supp. 600c corr. (obv. legend). Lightly toned, some scratches and minor smoothing in fields, obverse slightly double struck, edge a little ragged. Struck on a large flan. Good VF. Very rare, only one known to RPC.
